Terms of Service

TheGermanStefan Academy

Effective 22 August 2026

1 · Who provides this service

TheGermanStefan Academy (“the Academy”) is provided by LongLyvn LLC, a company based in the United Arab Emirates. You can contact us at support@thegermanstefan.com.

2 · Accepting these Terms

By using the Academy you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Academy. When you create an account you are asked to confirm your acceptance explicitly, and creating an account without that confirmation is not possible.

3 · You do not need an account

The Academy's available learning content works anonymously. An account is optional. It exists so that your progress can follow you to another device, and features that depend on an account require you to be signed in.

4 · Who may hold an account

You must be at least 16 years old to register an account on your own. A user under 16 may use an account only where it has been created and is managed by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on that user's behalf and is responsible for their use of the Academy.

5 · Your account information

Please give accurate information when you register, and keep your email address current — it is how we confirm your account and how you recover your password.

You are responsible for keeping your password and your signed-in devices secure, and for activity that takes place through your account. Do not share your password, and do not send it to us or to anyone else; we will never ask you for it. If you believe someone else has gained access to your account, contact us at support@thegermanstefan.com as soon as you can.

6 · Verifying your email

When you register, we send a confirmation message to the address you gave. An account that has not been confirmed is not an active account: until confirmation is complete, it does not sign you in and no learner record is created for it.

7 · Acceptable use

The Academy is a place to learn German. Please use it for that. You agree not to:

8 · What the Academy is, and what it is not

The Academy is an educational resource. It is provided to help you study German. It is not personal tuition, legal advice, immigration advice or professional certification.

We cannot and do not guarantee any particular outcome from using it — not a level of language ability, not a result in any examination, not an employment outcome, and not an immigration or residency outcome. Those depend on many things outside our control, including your own study.

The Academy is an independent resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any examination body or awarding organisation, and nothing in the Academy should be read as such a relationship.

9 · The Academy's content

The Academy's lessons, exercises, audio, text, design and software are owned by LongLyvn LLC or used by it with permission, and are protected by intellectual-property law.

You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial study, including printing or saving material for that purpose. You may not republish, resell, redistribute or use them commercially, or present them as your own, without our written permission.

Your learning data is yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of it to us; we hold and process it to run your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

10 · Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the Academy available and to keep it improving. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption or free of faults. The Academy may be unavailable during maintenance, during a fault, or because of a problem at one of the providers it depends on.

We may add, change or remove features, and we may retire parts of the Academy. Where a change would materially affect accounts, we will make that clear on the Academy.

11 · The services we depend on

The Academy relies on third-party providers for authentication, data storage, website delivery, abuse prevention and email. Those services are outside our control, and an interruption at one of them can interrupt the corresponding part of the Academy. The providers and their roles are named in the Privacy Policy.

12 · Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account where that is necessary to protect the Academy, its users or its providers: where an account is being used to attack or abuse the service, where credentials appear to have been compromised, or where we are required to act for legal reasons. Where it is appropriate and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

You may close your account at any time. Write to support@thegermanstefan.com and ask us to delete it. We confirm that the request comes from the account's owner before we act, and we then delete the account and the learning data attached to it. How that works, and what may be kept afterwards for legal, security or backup-integrity reasons, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

If your account is closed, the anonymous Academy remains available to you.

13 · Our responsibility to you

The Academy is provided as an educational resource, and to the extent permitted by law we are not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen, for loss of data caused by something outside our control, or for a study or examination outcome.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Where a law that applies to you gives you a right or a remedy that cannot be set aside by agreement, that right stands, and these Terms are read subject to it.

14 · Governing law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in, as set out in section 13.

15 · Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we will update these Terms and the effective date above. If you continue to use the Academy after a change takes effect, that use is subject to the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the Academy and ask us to close your account.
